BBQ Of The Summer with M&S Food

How incredible has this recent warm (okay, boiling!) weather been?! It's crazy to think that just a few months ago we had some seriously bad snow...! Our summer is in full swing which means if you haven't already, it's time to light the barbecue and enjoy the sunshine because it'll soon be back to cosy jumpers for autumn.

Marks & Spencer's dropped me an email to see if I'd like to host a BBQ and try some of their 'best ever' burgers as they are celebrating being the only national retailer which can trace 100% of its beef back to the farm and individual cow - impressive right?! Give that people in Wales ate more than 180,000 M&S burgers in the last 12 months, I was obviously keen to get my hands on a bun or two - no pun intended, so they sent me lots of their goodies including their special burgers, bacon, posh-dogs, sauces, fresh strawberries and crisps!

I love a good cheeseburger, and boy was this one by M&S great! It was almost like eating a steak. They state that their burgers are created with carefully selected cuts of British beef and a hint of bone marrow for that extra special flavour, and you can definitely tell once you tuck into it. I especially liked their chilli-cheese slices and creamy burger mayo with my meal, and those burger buns were so fresh!

The posh-dogs were not the sort you'd find at an amusement park stand, these were high-quality and very tasty! Combined with their posh-dog pickle relish and rolls, these were very yummy!

For dessert I made a delicious strawberry and passionfruit cheesecake with fresh berries from M&S. It was surprisingly easy to make and it didn't need to be baked, also it ended up being pretty big so I managed to keep it for a few days and enjoy it on the following evenings. It was also great to find out that M&S have worked with some of their British berry suppliers for over 40 years and is proud to work with farmers who have been farming for generations which is something I think they should be extremely proud of.

Thank you Marks & Spencer for sending me these treats, I really loved trying everything and will be sure to pick up some more burgers and berries when I next host a BBQ!
