Harrods’ Rutland Hamper Review

Would you believe that it’s Christmas time again?! ... Well - almost - but let’s face it, as soon as November arrives we’re all singing Mariah Carey at the top of our lungs and dusting the Christmas jumpers off... no? Just me then...

I’m a sucker for Christmas festivities, always have been and I’m sure I always will be. So when Harrods reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in reviewing one of their Christmas hampers, I was very excited! And when it arrived, it literally felt like Christmas had come early! In this particular hamper (called The Rutland Hamper) it contains everything needed for a very sophisticated (and British) afternoon of treats. As a lover of coffee and tea, this was right up my street.

The full list of contents;

  • No. 14 English breakfast tea bags (200g/20 silken teabags) Blended black tea
  • Colombian San Agustin roasted ground coffee (250g) Medium roast with a 3 intensity
  • Scottish raspberry preserve (320g) Made in Devon
  • Date, pecan and brown sugar biscuits (150g) Made in Yorkshire
  • Milk chocolate bar (50g)

The hamper is presented beautifully in a grey/soft green hard box, complete with a tie ribbon and a gold Harrods logo. Inside, each item has its own place built into the hamper, and they are sealed to ensure they are fresh and ready to enjoy right away upon opening. I was very impressed by the quality of the products - especially the biscuits as they crumbled perfectly and had a wonderful texture. The tea was light yet creamy, the coffee was smooth & rich, and the chocolate bar was oh so indulgent. I think that this hamper would be great accompanied with a few homemade scones and fresh cream to create a cream tea with the raspberry preserve - so if you’re thinking about buying this for someone then why not try out your baking skills too!

The Rutland is ideal for someone who treasures an afternoon break with a hot drink and a good book, or for someone who is taking a miss on the alcohol this Christmas (probably something I should do!). It’s a very luxurious gift which will definitely put a smile on a loved ones face!

Have you ever bought anyone a hamper as a gift? Let me know in the comments below!

This product was gifted to me but all opinions are my own.
