Art-Inspired Cocktails at Ten Mill Lane

Andy Warhol, Banksy and Alphonse are just some of the inspirations behind Ten Mill Lane's soon-to-be launched mixology menu...

Ten Mill Lane is an underground bar where you can chill out after a hard day at work with a sophisticated and edgy vibe while enjoying some of their specialist drinks. To add to their menu, they decided to create a new collection of cocktails which are based on these famous works of art:
I Saw the Figure 5 in Gold - Charles Demuth
Bleeding Medals - Gilbert and George
Summer - Alphonse Mucha
Autumn Rhythm – Jackson Pollock
Blue Dress – Leonid Afremov
Self Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Humminbird – Frida Kahlo
The Treachery of Image – Rene Magritte
Red Poppies and Daisies – Vincent van Gogh
A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande – Georges Seurat
Les Demoiselles D-Avignon by Pablo Picasso
Campbell’s Soup Can – Andy Warhol
Girl with a Balloon – Banksy
After trying some of these new creations, my favourites have to be 'Summer' by Alphonse Mucha, 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande' by Georges Seurat and 'Self Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Humminbird' by Frida Kahlo. As you can probably guess, a Bloody Mary was the cocktail representing Campbell’s Soup Can by Andy Warhol. While I like a good Bloody Mary on a hungover morning, this was something else. Topped with chilli spices and a piece of candy floss (yes, candy floss) the cocktail was a unique take on the traditional drink... Worth a try, but it isn't to everyone's taste!
Huge thanks to Ten Mill Lane for inviting me along to their launch, it was great to see how much passion they have for the new menu, if you try any of these interesting drinks then let me know which is your favourite!
