The Goods Shed & Novotel Cardiff Review

I was invited to the launch of The Goods Shed in Novotel Cardiff, which has recently been renovated and taken back to it's roots as an old goods shed in 1875, which was part of the London and North Western railway on the Bute Docks.

Menu & Drinks

On the menu you can expect to see smokey dishes to take you back to the days of the old railway functioning, fish cakes, burgers, and jacket potatoes filled with tasty combinations. However I was especially fond of their cocktail menu, and enjoyed their fruity signature mix as well as their creamy Pina Colada. If you're a coffee lover then give their espresso martini a try!

The Bedroom

We were lucky enough to get a room in the hotel too, and so after the fun events of the evening we settled into our home for the night. The bedroom was complete with an iron, hair dryer, bath, shower, fridge, kettle, flat screen TV, air conditioning, speaker and free wifi.

Breakfast

For breakfast we indulged in the buffet (which was just what we needed after all those cocktails from the night before). The breakfast did not disappoint, in fact it had everything we fancied - including freshly made healthy pancakes, pastries and hash browns!
The hotel ticked all of our boxes, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try the swimming pool as no doubt that would have been amazing too! I have to say the staff were brilliant, great customer service and all very welcoming. We really loved our stress-free evening at the Novotel!
Although our visit was complimentary, the opinions are my own.
