Dinner at The Captain's Wife | Sully

After living in Penarth for a few years, I’ve paid numerous visits to The Captain’s Wife in Sully as it’s a great pub with a beautiful view! What’s not to like! So when I was invited to review their menu, service and refurbishment, I was thrilled! I was able to tie it in with my dads 74th birthday too!

Relax at Ener-chi

In an ideal world December means listening to Michael BublĂ© while beautifully wrapping presents and getting ready to celebrate this joyous holiday... Unfortunately there is usually a bit more stress involved, not to mention copious amounts of cellotape getting stuck to the side of the table in the process. Ener-chi take a different approach as they look to make this year as stress-free as possible for their clients. Watch the Christmas video that Explore with Ed and I produced for them...

Penarth Light Display - Celebrating 150 Years!

Although I'm originally from the lovely English county of Worcestershire, I have lived in South Wales since attending university here in 2010. I have really grown to love Wales, it has so much to offer and such a variety of scenery. I particularly love the way that they celebrate and embrace the history, which is exactly what happened on Wednesday 4th March in Penarth...

The Washington (Penarth)

This review is of a beautiful cafe located in the heart of Penarth. The Washington. If you live local to the area then you've probably seen this place plenty of times as it's a pretty eye catching building. It has been on my 'to go' list for a good while now!

Cosmeston Lake Country Park (South Wales)

Cosmeston Lake Country Park is somewhere I've been past and heard of, but never explored properly, and so given that it was also recommend to me recently, I thought it would be nice to pay it a visit. The site has been open for 37 years, and gained 'local nature reserve' status in May 2013. Click HERE for directions to this fantastic spot.

Penarth Cliff Walk (South Wales)

I recently did the Caerphilly mountain walk, that featured amazing views overlooking Caerphilly castle and the opposing mountains. This walk is a complete contrast, yes it's high up, but the views are of the channel, facing towards Bristol, and with Penarth Pier in the distance.

The Pilot (Penarth)

With so many options of restaurants, cafes and fast food conveniences, it can be hard deciding where to get some grub! Which is why I keep a list of anywhere that gets recommend. Yesterday I got the chance to give The Pilot a visit and see what they had to offer!
