October Overview of Cardiff's Restaurants

It's been a busy month for Cardiff's food scene, lots of openings, relaunches and new menus within the city and the surrounding areas. I've been fortunate enough to sample a fair few and condense them into this overview, enjoy! Photo above at The Lounge in Swansea.

My Cookie Dough (Cardiff)

You can't deny the delicious taste of Reece's Pieces nor the mouthwatering combination of banana and toffee, let alone when they are on a bed of warm cookie dough with ice cream on top... Mmmm... Cosmeston Lake Country Park (South Wales)

Cosmeston Lake Country Park is somewhere I've been past and heard of, but never explored properly, and so given that it was also recommend to me recently, I thought it would be nice to pay it a visit. The site has been open for 37 years, and gained 'local nature reserve' status in May 2013. Click HERE for directions to this fantastic spot.

Penarth Cliff Walk (South Wales)

I recently did the Caerphilly mountain walk, that featured amazing views overlooking Caerphilly castle and the opposing mountains. This walk is a complete contrast, yes it's high up, but the views are of the channel, facing towards Bristol, and with Penarth Pier in the distance.
